Before the so-called swine flu broke out, I had a call from agri-marketer Jim Eadie at PigCareers.com wanting to catch me up on new developments in his shop. We couldn't chat until this week, but in the face of global turmoil, it's even more timely now to know the industry is making progress on several fronts, including employment. Jim told me PigCareers.com has reached 100 available jobs — a milestone for the company — and added a new student jobs section. That particularly appealed to me and my interest in helping connect University of Guelph students to the agriculture and food sector.
Thanks to Jim for posting our news release on his farmshowcase.com website, about opening up our agricultural communications program at the University of Guelph.
