Brook trout are synonymous with cold, healthy waterbodies, and it’s possible they may still be found in Guelph’s own Hanlon Creek. That’s the hope of six University of Guelph students in Canada’s only ‘biodiversity’ major science program. Together with help from Trout Unlimited Canada, they’re fundraising to undertake state-of-the-art DNA based research to try to confirm the brook trout’s presence. Read more ….
