Consumers want to know more about the food they eat, where it comes from and how its production affects the environment. That’s why announcements made at this year’s Canada Agriculture Day were especially good news.
Farm associations, industry and government each came forward with programs to make information about food production in Canada more widely available to the public.
More facts are better for informed discussions. Will they ultimately lead to a better understanding of the role of agriculture in a sustainable environment?
