It’s great to see one of agriculture’s own recognized with this country’s highest award – the Order of Canada. Soybean breeding pioneer Dr. Harvey Voldeng developed cold-tolerant, food-grade soybean varieties in the 1970s, giving Canadian farmers new cropping opportunities and a foothold in export markets.
