Ontario’s pork producers have partnered with the provincial government to invest in a new state-of-the-art research facility at Elora. They’ll be joining their dairy and beef counterparts at the expanding centre for livestock research, north of Guelph.
The current location at Arkell – once a rural setting south of Guelph – is now surrounded by subdivisions, which doesn’t work well for residents or researchers. The new location will be ideal for studies ranging from pork nutrition and genetics, to animal welfare and environmental protection. Read more …
