Australian researchers have found hard copy agricultural newsletters are still very popular with farmers — 77 per cent said they preferred to receive the printed version of a newsletter called Agricultural Memo, rather than the electronic version by email.
The main reason? A hard copy is more portable. Maybe iPads and the like will change all this. But so far, despite the predicted demise of old fashioned print media, it’s hanging in there in some circles at least.
A report on this research appears in the November issue of the always informative Agricultural Communications Documentation Center News.
