Farmers are searching for ways to serve the niches that are emerging now with local food — which includes crops and livestock. They’re turning to new and traditional sources for that knowledge, including Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, which gets underway tomorrow for three days in Woodstock, Ontario. I spoke with the show’s president Lorie Jocius about the local food trend and how the show is using demonstrations to help fill the production knowledge gap for farmers, for my Urban Cowboy column in today’s Guelph Mercury.
