It looks like Arkell, Ontario (a village just outside Guelph) will not be home to the 2015 Pan Am Games' equine events, after all. But nonetheless, a Guelph-area group working towards creating an Ontario Equine Centre is moving ahead with plans to create a state-of-the-art research, education and training facility there. The website called The Horse.com has a news release from the group, talking about its plans to go forward. I'm hoping the creation of this facility will further accelerate the growing field of equine communications and journalism, which is gaining momentum through Equine Guelph's education programs.
